The Invisible Layers

Chakras ~ Gunas ~ Koshas and Energy Flow

Discover how yoga for energetic balance can support healing by exploring the subtle body and its connection to the chakras, koshas, gunas,  prana, and their roles in holistic well-being. You’ll learn how to use pranayama, sound, mantras, kriyas, mudras, and bandhas to align energy and cultivate balance and self-awareness.

Understanding the subtle body of yoga deepens your awareness of the energetic layers that influence physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. It provides tools to balance energy, cultivate harmony, and align with your true self.

 In this training, you will:

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of each of the 7 chakras, including their unique qualities, functions, and influences on the physical, emotional, and spiritual levels.

  • Gain insight into the interconnected nature of the chakra system and its role in overall well-being. Equip yourself with the knowledge to support both personal growth and the ability to guide others in cultivating energetic balance.

  • Develop a deep understanding of the five koshas (layers of being) and how they integrate to form a holistic view of self.

  • Learn how prana (life force energy) moves through the nadis (energy channels) and supports vitality, balance, and spiritual awakening.

  • Understand the three gunas (tamas, rajas, and sattva) and their impact on behavior, mindset, and spiritual evolution, as well as practices to cultivate sattva (purity and balance).

  • Explore techniques that affect the flow of energy through the energetic channels, fostering harmony and spiritual growth.

  • Cultivate self-awareness and spiritual insight by integrating subtle body practices into daily life and teaching.

This training is open to students with a desire to deepen their personal practice, as well as those working towards becoming a yoga teacher and current yoga teachers wishing to advance their training.

​

This training counts as 20 hours of Yoga Alliance CEU’s

YTT200- this is a core module, required for 20/200hrs to certify.

​

Advanced 300hr YTT-  this is an elective module for the Ekatra’s 300 hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training.

​

***  If you are a yoga teacher, this module independently offers you an advanced certification in the Subtle Body and Energetics of Yoga- Level One, which will be provided to you upon completion. (as well as contributing towards our 300hr advanced training program if desired) ***

​

(Level two is offered as an online integration for those who want to continue their journey through the invisible layers)

 

Meet your Lead Trainer:

Kelsey Erin, E-RYT500 and YACEP is a registered and qualified Lead Trainer through Yoga’s governing body, Yoga Alliance.  She independently has developed Ekatra’s YTT curriculum and is proud to lead this learning experience.

Meet your Assistant Trainers:

Molly Fletcher started practicing Yoga in 2006 and completed her 200 hour teacher training in 2015. Yoga is a gift Molly feels compelled to share. Her classes foster a deep connection to the wisdom of the body, and strive to gently quiet the mind. Her deep understanding of energetics is evident by her ability to integrate this wisdom, and the felt experience of her students as this is reflected back to them in her presence.

Valerie Dolhanty is a certified Yoga Instructor specializing in Hatha Yoga, with a passion for blending her teaching with chakra balancing.  She is also a Reiki Master Practitioner, a Certified Reflexologist and is certified with the Mental Health Commission of Canada as a Working Mind Facilitator.

Module Training Schedule 

YTT200 and Advanced YTT300

Ekatra School of Traditional Yoga proudly shares 22 modules of study, where each student can choose their own path, specific to their own heart’s calling.

 

We’ve included our YTT200 and Advanced YTT300 level training dates for your consideration and planning.

 

Please note: If working towards your Advanced YTT300 certification, a YTT200 is required to begin this journey.  Although some of our modules overlap, the distance learning component for each module is more advanced for the 300 level students.
